Waterjet Cutting
Abrasive waterjet profiling for thick plate, hardened steel, stone and composites — a cold cut, so there is no heat-affected zone and no hardened edge to machine away.
Draft content. Numbers below are typical industry capabilities pulled from reference sites — confirm against what our toolroom and partners can actually hold before launch.
Why waterjet
A waterjet cuts with a high-pressure stream of water and garnet abrasive rather than heat. Nothing is melted, so the material keeps its temper right up to the cut edge — which matters on hardened tool steel, pre-treated plate, and anything you intend to machine or weld afterwards.
Capabilities
- Mild steel, stainless and aluminium up to 150 mm; titanium, brass, copper, tool steel, stone, glass, rubber and composites.
- Positional accuracy ±0.1 mm; taper compensation on request.
- Bed size up to 1500 × 3000 mm; nesting for best material yield.
- No heat-affected zone, no thermal distortion, no edge hardening.
Waterjet or laser?
- Laser — faster and cheaper on thin sheet (under ~10 mm) in steel, stainless and aluminium.
- Waterjet — thick plate, reflective metals, hardened material, non-metals, and anywhere a heat-affected edge is unacceptable.
- Not sure? Send the drawing and we will quote whichever is cheaper for your part.
What to send
